what is holistic personal training?
The goal of holistic personal training isn't just to increase how many kms you can run or how much weight you can lift; clients of holistic personal training also practice it to improve coordination, flexibility and mental well-being. Holism refers to the belief that health is best obtained when everything is considered, as opposed to just the symptoms of a particular issue. When pursuing holistic personal training, there are many factors that need to be considered, you and your trainer will go over your personal fitness goals, nutrition, stress levels, quality of sleep and any injuries or limitations you may have.

Chad Dawson - owner and operator of Universal Balance, has been personal training full time for the past 11 years, he has a passion for helping people reach their full potential in everything they do. he is the brains and muscle behind Universal Balance and gives his clients 110% in every aspect. Chad is extremely passionate about maintaining functional movement and flexibility and never gives anyone an unachievable task. He is dedicated to supporting you to reach your personal fitness goals. Chad is diverse in his training and lives and breathes functional movement, meaning he has an understanding of what YOUR body needs.

Shane Barker - head group fitness and boxing coach in the studio, Shane has been working full time in the health and fitness industry for the last 3 years, helping all ages to improve their sporting abilities, lose weight and put on lean muscle mass!
Shane has a deep understanding of how to push you enough to reach your goals while keeping each and every session unique and fun! He is passionate about helping people feel comfortable and happy within themselves and build a strong body and an even stronger mind!
Since undergoing a major emergency operation in his late teens, Shane has worked extremely hard on his mental and physical fitness, he has developed a can-do attitude and is passionate about teaching his clients these qualities so they too can get the most out of life.
Shane has been volunteering with a local teen football team for the past 3 years as a fitness coach to help them be stronger, fitter, healthier and more confident players! He knows the game’s fitness components inside and out and is passionate about helping each and every player get the most out of their game and improve their footy! He often runs football and other sports off-season programs as he has become very passionate about helping teens reach their full potential in the health and fitness space.
